I am a great believer in life-long learning and self-development, something I have always enjoyed and continue to do so. Having enjoyed a fulfilling and satisfying career of more than 20 years as a Secondary School teacher, I have always been very interested in people and enjoyed supporting others.

As I became more interested in this area of expertise, I decided to have a change in direction in my career to do exactly that and I am now a professional Hypnotherapist so that I could share my learning and help others make the kind of changes I was able to achieve. I am now a fully accredited member of the National Hypnotherapy Society and Professional Standards Authority and work within their code of ethics.

So if you're looking for a caring, practical, problem solving hypnotherapist then please get in touch. I very much looking forward to working with you to make some positive changes in your life to help you fulfil your potential.

Give Hypnotherapy a try…

I am a qualified, professional and accredited Hypnotherapist working in and around Leicestershire and Rutland. My background is teaching, I’ve got a passion for helping people.

If you’re looking for a caring, practical, problem solving hypnotherapist then please get in touch.

You may be wondering what happens during a hypnotherapy session. Firstly, let me reassure you that hypnotherapy is not what you may immediately imagine. You may be familiar with stage hypnotism or that which you have seen on the TV, but hypnotism and hypnotherapy are two completely different things. Perhaps you are looking to overcome a fear or phobia, stop smoking, lose weight or to gain motivation to make some positive changes in your life. Your journey usually begins by either telephoning or sending me an email. We can chat about any problem or issues you would like hypnotherapy for and arrange to make your first appointment.

During our first session together, we will chat about how your issue affects your life, how long you’ve been feeling like this and how we can work together to give you the right support.

We will then begin with some relaxation and breathing exercises to relax you into a nice, calm relaxed state where you will begin to feel more comfortable and open to suggestions which will change the way you respond to whatever it is which is affecting your life.

So for example, if you have a fear or phobia, I will talk about how life could be improved without those negative feelings attached to it. Also we will visualise how life will be without those feelings of anxiety & worry and how much better you will feel following each session.

It’s normal to feel a bit anxious or scared about having hypnotherapy, but it is a completely comfortable and safe environment. I work in a very relaxed way to put you at ease right from the very beginning of the process.

I am registered with The National Hypnotherapy Society, working within strict codes of conduct and ethical guidelines. I have enhanced DBS clearance to work with vulnerable adults and children and have public liability insurance.

So what are you waiting for?

I would love the opportunity to work with you to achieve your goals. I offer a free consultation to chat and to see if I can provide the support and treatment required to make some life changes for you. If you decide it’s not for you, no problem. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, although it could also open up new possibilities to you.

Have a think and, hopefully, we can work together sometime soon… Deb xx

Here are some comments from clients I have worked with previously:

”I had a real fear of the dentist and hadn’t been for 12 years. After just 3 sessions with Debbie I was able to book an appointment with my dentist and have a check-up and treatment for my tooth ache which was such a relief”.

Jude from Melton Mowbray

“I was having real problems at work with my colleagues. Some days my anxiety was so bad, I couldn’t even go into work. After just 1 session of hypnotherapy with Debbie, I could feel myself being more relaxed at the thought of work and could get through my shift more easily. Within a month, my feelings of anxiety had gone completely and I am now happy at work”.

Tracey from Leicester

”After being a smoker for 17 years, I was a bit sceptical about hypnotherapy but my friend had been to Debbie and she had stopped smoking, so I thought I’d give it a try. Oh my goodness, it was such a quick solution to my problem. I’d tried patches and gum, everything, and nothing had worked. But Debbie made it so relaxing and was so encouraging that it was easy in the end”.
